The 911 Standard Address Sign helps emergency responders more easily see a location’s address number, and more than 200 homes at Southampton Meadows received these signs Oct. 21 thanks to the work of about 24 volunteers from the Southampton County Sheriff’s Office, Franklin Fire & Rescue, Adult Probation and Parole, Town of Courtland, Pathways Developmental Services, Smart Beginnings Western Tidewater, Southampton County Public Schools and Southampton County Department of Social Services, along with other individuals who showed up to help out.
