The NWTF Millswamp Longbeards Chapter of Southampton County recently announced its 2021 scholarship recipients.
Marissa Nurney is the daughter of Randy and Missy Nurney. She will be furthering her education to get her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a 2021 graduate of Southampton High School. She also attained an associate degree from Paul D. Camp Community College. She was a member of the FFA and National Honor Society in high school and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success at Paul D. Camp Community College.
Hunter Rountree is the son of Brian and Holly Rountree. He is attending Virginia Tech and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in agribusiness management. He is a 2021 graduate of Southampton High School, where he graduated with honors and lettered in varsity golf.
