CARRSVILLE – Thomas Clifton “Tommy” Joyner, 61, passed away Oct. 31, 2021 in Consulate Healthcare of Windsor. Born in Suffolk, he was a son of the late James Elisha Joyner and Nell Fleming Joyner.

Tommy was a 1978 graduate of Isle of Wight Academy and a graduate of Newport News Apprentice School. He was a master electrician and an amateur radio enthusiast.

Left to cherish his memory is a daughter, Kimberly Ann Bentley (Kevin) of Cartersville, Georgia; a son, Zachary James Joyner of Carrsville; a brother, Gregory Joyner (Lori) of Zuni; two grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery with Pastor Chuck Worth officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Walter’s Community House.
