Local little one Emerson enjoys a treat on Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen. Area DQ franchisee Mitch Sandlin, owner of Mid-Atlantic Dairy Queen, a collection of 14 local DQ restaurants, recently announced the group has surpassed $600,000 in contributions to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters since 2020. This milestone brings them closer to their commitment to raise $1.25 million for the new Children’s Mental Hospital at CHKD over the course of five years.
