“When you take an oath to serve, protect and support, that’s an oath you stand by whether in uniform or not. I had an awesome time at the Southampton vs. Colonial Heights game on Sept. 17,” Southampton County Sheriff Josh A. Wyche Sr. stated in a social media post. “It was an honor to be able to come support our youth that were playing football, cheering and in the band. It was great being able to see and greet some of our amazing citizens. It was even more exciting to see Southampton take home the victory. When we show our youth that we are supporting them, it gives them so much motivation!”
