New WHS student liaison appointed to school board
Isle of Wight County Schools has appointed Windsor High School junior Kylie Sharpe as the school’s student liaison to the school board.
Sharpe is a member of WHS’s Beta Club and has played basketball and volleyball for the Dukes. She is a resident of Carrsville and a current member of the Carrsville Ruritan Club. She also volunteers with the Federal Bureau of Land Management in support of the Wild Mustang and Burro Program.
She joins Neelie Harris, a Smithfield High School senior who currently serves as that school’s student liaison. Students apply for the liaison position and interview with a panel of division administrators.
Sharpe will serve a two-year term on the Board.
