FRANKLIN – Keith M. Tomlin, 45, unexpectedly passed away July 28, 2021. He was born on December 8, 1975 in Emporia and grew up in Drewryville.

Keith was a 1994 graduate of Southampton High School and attended Paul D. Camp Community College. He was a hard working logger for 26 years for Pinecrest Timber Company and considered his coworkers his family. Keith loved hunting, fishing and Washington Football Team. He was a member of New Apostolic Church in Hopewell.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 23 years, Joyce Babb Tomlin and their two sons, Nate and Zak Tomlin. Also left to cherish his memory is his mother, Lizzie Kaye Ellis Whitehead; his brothers, William “Bill” Tomlin and Wayne Whitehead; his sister, Angela Whitehead; an aunt, Betty Leinward; an uncle, Mike Ellis; his stepmother, Kelly Hamilton; his father-in-love, Lewis L. Babb; mother-in-love, Joyce Babb; sister-in-love, Sarah Babb; three nephews, Justin Benton, Dustin Benton and Evaan Saaski; two nieces, Makayla Tomlin and Mariah Babb; five great-nephews; and his dear friends, Mike Everett, who was like a father to him and Dave Sackett, who was like a brother to him. He is predeceased by his father, Gleason Morris Tomlin; his grandmother, Louise Ellis; brother, Jason Tomlin and nephew Joshua Babb.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2 in Wright Funeral Home with Rick Pace officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Courtland Volunteer Fire Department or Courtland Volunteer Rescue Squad.
