Dr. Natalie Halloran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources & Federal Programs presided for the Franklin City Public Schools 2021 Employee Appreciation Celebration held on Thursday, June 10 at Franklin High School. This annual event is held to recognize teachers for years of service and those that are retiring. Another purpose of the event is to also recognize the teacher of the year. Greetings from the school board was given by Amy Phillips, chairperson of the school board.
This year because of the COVID-19 pandemic, school officials choose to recognize all teachers in the Franklin Public School system as teachers of the year. In turn, principals of all three schools came forward and called for teachers at each school to come forward and be recognized. This was followed by Tiffany Lashley, Human Resources Coordinator reading the names of persons that retired for the years of, 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school terms.
Lastly, staff was recognized that had served for 5 through 40 years of service. The celebration ended with the serving of lunch to all present.
