Franklin boys relay team 2nd in state

The Franklin High School varsity boys 4-by-100-meter relay team of senior Dae’Mari Holden, senior Darius Eley, sophomore Myrone Rawlings and freshman Kaden Bailey improved its personal-best time to 45.04 seconds June 18 and was crowned the Virginia High School League Class 1 Outdoor Track and Field State Runner-Up. Bailey also medaled in the boys 200-meter dash, placing fifth and running a personal-best time of 23.99 seconds. The Virginia High School League state championship meet, which was held at James Madison University on June 18, concluded the outdoor track and field season.
