FRANKLIN – Patricia Edwards McGuire, 73, passed away May 21, 2021 in her home with her family by her side. A native of Capron, she was a daughter of the late Emerson Rudolph Edwards and Lessie Tillery Edwards. Patricia was also predeceased by a sister, Cilda Ann Edwards.

Patricia was a 1966 graduate of Southampton High School and was a long time member of Franklin Little Theater and played such parts as Mamie Yokum in “Lil Abner” and “Diamond Studs” and was a singer in the “Star Singers.”

She was a retired mill planner for Union Camp Corporation and a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church and its choir.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Joseph Patrick “Joe” McGuire; a daughter, Melissa M. Vaughan (Keith); a son, Daniel McGuire (Denise); and two grandchildren, Kelly Ann and Brandon Vaughan.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26 in Wright Funeral Home with theRev. Dr. Lou Ventura officiating. The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice for their wonderful care, especially, Angela Smith and Ebony Myrick. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Franklin Presbyterian Church.
