Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. (FSEDI) will be offering a “Basics of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)” virtual workshop in partnership with the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center and VECTEC Solutions. 

The free business enrichment class will take place Wednesday, June 9, from noon-1 p.m., according to an FSEDI news release.

The class will be taught by David Hoegerman. Hoegerman is the senior manager of online marketing for Homes.com, overseeing SEO and new content. He has been actively managing SEO and search engine advertising campaigns for more than 17 years and has helped over 100 businesses ranging from independently owned companies to organizations from the Fortune 500 list. 

The workshop will explain how to effectively utilize and analyze the “Search Engine Optimization” function of information search platforms, such as Google. SEO has long been the most economic means of delivering highly qualified traffic to websites and into the doors of businesses, but as search engines have become more complex, so too must the approach evolve.
