Kimberly Wade Marks

President

Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin

Kimberly Wade Marks is a native of Franklin and a 1987 graduate of Franklin High School. She attended East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. and received a Bachelor of Science degree in business. She later received a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Dallas while working for her hometown hospital.

Kim is currently the president of Southampton Memorial Hospital, where she was born. She has been employed by Southampton Memorial for 27 years. She is a native of Franklin and very active in the community.

Kim believes in giving back to her community by participating in various civic organizations.

Kim is currently the immediate past president for the Franklin Southampton County Chamber of Commerce, and she is a Rotarian. Kim is a member of the Camp Community College Foundation Board and a member of the International Paper Community Advisory Committee. She has served as a member of the Downtown Franklin Organization, Relay for Life team captain, and March of Dimes.

Kim has two children, Jordan (age 21) and Mariah (age 18), who both attend East Carolina University.

Kim is motivated to bring health and wellness education to the residents of Franklin/Southampton County.  She has also organized a community heart walk and brings free community education to residents of Franklin and Southampton County by hosting a Healthy Woman educational dinner. This is always a sold out event with National Speakers that promote wellness and positive self-image.
