FRANKLIN – Shilder Bradshaw of Britt Street, Franklin, Virginia, passed away on Feb. 2, 2021, in her home.

She was born on April 8, 1952, in Southampton County, Virginia, to the late Lloyd and Lucy Bell Smith. Shilder was the widow of Stanley Bradshaw Sr.

Mrs. Bradshaw attended the Southampton County Public Schools, and she was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. After 30 years of service, Shilder retired from Duck’s Meat House in Isle of Wight County, Virginia.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughter, Bonita Bradshaw; sons, Stanley Bradshaw Jr. (Riaysabel) and Timothy Bradshaw; two sisters, Lorraine Carter and Lucy Stephens; one brother, Albert Smith; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special daughter, Ann Holloman; cousins; and extended family.

A public viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Feb. 8, from 2 to 7 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m., in Oak Grove Baptist Church, 35441 South Quay Road, Franklin, with Pastor Alvin Rawlings delivering the eulogy; the Rev. Curtis Mitchell is the host pastor. The committal and benediction will follow the service in the church cemetery.

A service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
