Eva Dell Briley Mason

FRANKLIN – Eva Dell Briley Mason, 89, passed away on Feb. 3, 2021.

She was born in Tarboro, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Edward McCoy Briley and Effie Cleola Davenport Briley. She was the last sibling out of nine children to pass away.

Eva worked and retired as a nurse’s aide, first working in a nursing home and then in private residences. She was a charter member of Franklin Church of God, now Ignite Church, in Franklin, Virginia.

Eva is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda Joyner (Harry), Charles Mason, Judy Cutchins (Gary), Ricky Mason (Alice), Jimmy Mason, Chris Mason; grandchildren and their spouses, John Joyner (Jessica), Susan Schoer (Josh), Mark Joyner, Michael Joyner (Sarae), Amanda Conroy (Billy), Jennifer Widmayer (Scott), Alan Joyner, Amy Joyner, Paula Bradin (Scott), Janet Deyo (Jeremy), Gregory Mason, Cody Mason (Kristin), Chris Mason Jr., and Maria Mason; 25 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., in Parr Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Bill Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Springs Cemetery in Franklin.

Friends may join the family for a time of visitation with limited gathering and social distancing on Monday from 7 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
