NORFOLK – Mary Leigh Hill Kitchen, 85, passed away on Jan. 12, 2021, in her home. Born in Newsoms, she was a daughter of the late Edward Carson Hill and Sarah Vaughan Hill.

Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Joni Lynn Jarvis of Virginia Beach and June A. Schmalfeldt of Wisconsin; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Peggy Toler of Franklin and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, in Southampton Memorial Park with the Rev. Jimmy Thornton officiating.
