After a brief absence, the youth group at Hunterdale Christian Church, under the leadership of Roxanne Jester and DaNeil Lowry, brought the live Nativity back to the community this year. The Star of Bethlehem hung high above the manger, drawing spectators from the north, south, east and west. Livestock nestled in the hay around Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, the three shepherds and the three wisemen who had traveled from afar. An angel was also in attendance, and Christmas music completed the ambiance.

Because of inclement weather, two of the scheduled showings had to be cancelled, but the youth braved the cold weather on other days during the week of Christmas to make this event possible. “It is our hope that the community enjoyed this gift,” said church member Nancy Parrish. “Hunterdale Christian Church has been in the heart of Hunterdale for almost 195 years, and we hold the folks in our community and beyond close to our hearts in thought and in prayer, especially as we welcome the new year. May it be filled with blessings beyond measure, and particularly good health and much happiness.”
