The Cheroenhaka (Nottoway) Indian Tribe gave $200 each to five families in need this holiday.

The Christmas shopping spree took place in Walmart in Franklin on Sunday afternoon.

Chief Walt Red Hawk Brown met all families in the food court to give instructions about how the money can be used, such as only buying, toys, food and clothes, but no gift cards.
