LEESBURG – Jacqueline “Jackie” Rose of Leesburg, while living an active and fruitful life, was called home by God on Dec. 7, 2020.

Jacqueline Rose

She was a wonderful woman, a humble person and an overall beautiful soul who will be greatly missed and always cherished. Jackie’s legacy started on May 5, 1965, the oldest child to Larry and Yvonne Rose. She was born in Suffolk, and resided in Franklin, where she grew up surrounded by family and attended school. After her high school graduation, Jackie matriculated at Hampton University, where she graduated in 1988. She later attended John Hopkins University, where she acquired a master of business degree.

Jackie had a few loves in her life. One of her loves, was her love for her Dallas Cowboys. This love was outshinedby her love for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., where she actively participated on the local, region and international setting. Jackie joined the ladies of Lambda Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. in 1991. She later transferred to Xi Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. of Upper Montgomery County, Maryland, near her residence.

Jackie’s main love was that of family and friends. There has not been a moment where Jackie would not take the time to spend with those she held dear to her heart creating memories. From vacations to family reunions, Jackie helped to create moments that we will always remember. The memories will be cherished in our minds and hearts forever. There’s no denying her love for her nieces and nephews. She would stop whatever she was doing to make sure that they had whatever they requested of her.

Jackie was preceded in death by her brother, Michael; her nephews, Timothy Jr. (T.J.) and Jameer (Me-Me) Woodley.

Those left to continue her legacy are her parents, Larry and Yvonne Rose; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dionne Edmond (Darick), LaKisha Woodley (Timothy), Traci Tate (Charles) and Natasha Rose (Michael); her beloved nieces and nephews; and very close friends.

A public viewing for Jackie will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 2 to 7 p.m. Jackie will be laid to rest at Southview Cemetery in Franklin.
