Last month, Paul D. Camp Community College put together 75 bags of food for students who were confronted with the possibility of not having enough to eat during Thanksgiving.
Distribution was done at the main entrances of the Franklin, Suffolk and Smithfield campuses.
Dean of Student Services Trina Jones said the need for such assistance has tripled since last year, which was about 15 to 20. She added that 66 students had registered to pick up the food this time.
