Since 1998, Inside Business has searched the Greater Hampton Roads area for professionals who excel in their work. This year, the publication chose Holly Ledbetter of Bronco Federal Credit Union in Franklin, and Will Drewery of the Western Tidewater Health District (WTHD).

Ledbetter, who is the human resources and administrative services manager for BFCU, was nominated by the Franklin Southampton Chamber of Commerce, according to its executive director, Teresa Beale. Drewery is the public health emergency manager for the WTHD, according to the online article.

According to information provided by Inside Business, a publication of The Virginian-Pilot, “The 40 people highlighted in this special section represent a wide range of occupations, and some of the individuals have more than one occupation. They all work hard and volunteer often to make Hampton Roads a better place.

“It is our hope this honor encourages them and others to go out and work even harder to be successful and get involved.

“We thank our judges … whose commitment to this program has made it stronger over the years. We also recognize our advertisers, without whose support the event and this publication about the honorees would not be possible.”

Honorees are chosen by an independent judging panel from a group of publicly submitted nominees. While they exemplify success in their profession, emphasis is placed on their community involvement and how they give back or use their talents to advance the region.
