Family Reading Night and the decoration of Literacy Pumpkins have been special traditions for Nottoway Elementary School for many years. The event may have looked a bit different this year, but the tradition continues.
On Oct. 29, Nottoway hosted an outdoor Family Reading Night with a Beep and Treat. The staff decorated their stations and dressed up to reflect a favorite book. Students and their families were encouraged to take part in dressing up as well. Each vehicle drove up to the stations and received dinner to-go, treat bags, information on the Title 1 program and free books.
The school hosted over 400 people throughout the evening, and thanks everyone who supported the event.
