FRANKLIN – Hereford “Buck” Bryant Jr., 80 passed away Oct. 19, 2020 in Port Wentworth, Georgia. Born in Franklin, he was the son of the late Hereford Bryant Sr. and Emily Underwood Bryant Clemons. Buck was also predeceased by his beloved Aunt Douglas and Uncle Bill Ellis.

Buck was a graduate of Franklin High School and attended Randolph-Macon College. He also served in the United States Army. He worked at Hancock Peanut Company in Courtland and retired from Franklin Equipment Company.

Buck was an avid golfer and a lifetime member of Cypress Cove Country Club. His proudest moments were when he shot his age at 70, 73 and 75. He loved Nascar and the Washington Redskins.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Dale B. Cannon (Michael Edwards) of New Bern, North Carolina and Dana B. Brown (Matthew) of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and five grandchildren, Olivia and Samantha Whitford, Ross, Chase and Reagan Brown and cousins Billy and Doug Ellis.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020 in Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Speight officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home.
