HUBERT, N.C. – Robin Myers Halsey, 67, of Hubert, North Carolina, died on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, after a sudden illness, in the New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Mrs. Halsey was born on Monday, June 8, 1953, at Fort Lee military base in Petersburg, Virginia, to Elben Thomas and Myrtle Irene (Littlebridge) Myers.
Mrs. Halsey was a loving and caring mother and was known fondly by her family as “Sarge” for her take-charge attitude. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing and shopping. She loved to go to the beach, have cookouts or just enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee and Scrabble.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her two loving daughters, Nicole H. Raiford and her husband, Steven of Zuni, and Sharon I. Hazzis and her husband, Tony of Havelock, North Carolina; three devoted sons, Gerald T. “Jerry” Halsey Jr. and his wife, Kelley of Gloucester, North Carolina, and Reece A. Allsbrook III and John T. Allsbrook, both of Franklin, Virginia; her father, Elben Thomas Myers of Franklin; four grandchildren, Keith A. Pickens III, Samantha L. Halsey, Nicole A. Allsbrook and Ethan A. Hazzis; one great-grandson, Keith A. Pickens IV. Also surviving is Elben Thomas’ second wife, Beverly Myers of Franklin; three sisters, Deborah M. Snead and her husband, Joseph of Rice, Virginia, Sharon K. Myers of Richmond, Virginia, Bonnie M. Pittman and her husband, Leon of Franklin; one brother, Thomas Myers of Sedley, Virginia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her beloved mother she is preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Lynn Parker.

At the family’s request there will be a private service to be held at a later date in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.

Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Mrs. Halsey to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Robin will be forever missed by her loving and devoted family and many dear friends.
