A pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Route 460 (General Mahone Boulevard), east of All-American Auto Parts, had non-life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred early Monday morning.

Sgt. Michelle Anaya, spokeswoman for the Virginia State Police, stated that the event took place at 12:32 a.m.

She said a 2006 Mazda had made a U-turn to avoid being stuck in traffic, and continued eastbound on Route 460 when the driver struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the right lane.

The victim was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

The investigation has not yet been completed.
