Nottoway honors Christie Claud as its Teacher of the Year

Nottoway Elementary School congratulates its 2020 Teacher of the Year, Christie Claud.
Claud is a Southampton County native who has been teaching kindergarten at Nottoway for the past seven years. She is a graduate of Chowan University.

In addition to teaching some of Nottoway’s youngest Cougars, Claud also serves on the Math, Science, Courtesy and Author’s Tea committees.
During this pandemic,. Claud has not only gone above and beyond to stay connected with her students, she has also been an integral part of Nottoway’s weekly food distribution.
When she is not in the classroom, Claud is spending quality time with family and friends, camping, or enjoying the beach.
