FRANKLIN

For the Republican Party primary on Tuesday, June 23, Franklin residents of Ward 6 who have voted at St. Jude’s Catholic Church are being directed to a temporary polling site. Voters are to go to Franklin Congregational Church at 412 N. High St. Use the rear entrance on arrival.

According to City of Franklin Voter Registrar Jennifer Maynard, the Diocese of Richmond decided against using its churches as polling places.

Maynard added that she does not anticipate any other relocations at this time.

Further, voters that are affected will be receiving notices by mail.

Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Maynard reminds voters that a photo ID is required before being able to cast votes at the polling site.
