Franklin City Police were sent to the 700 block of Oak Street after the communications center got a call at 4:39 on Monday about shots fired in that area. This is according to department spokesman Sgt. Scott Halverson.

He added that units responded to the area and began an investigation, which led to a search warrant being executed at a residence in the aforementioned location.

The case is ongoing.
