FRANKLIN — Ruby Denise Lee Mundine was born on Oct. 2, 1959, to Evelyn and the late George Lee.

She quietly slipped into eternal rest early Tuesday morning, April 7, 2020.

Ruby attended Franklin City Public Schools.

She was the youngest of five siblings including her twin, George Dewayne, of whom she always had that special twin bond.

Ruby, or Aunt Nesie as she was lovingly called by her family and close friends, was a faithful member of United Christian Community Church, Franklin, Virginia. She loved her pastor, first lady and church family.

Nesie met and married Moses Mundine earlier in life and together they raised Brandon and Yolanda. She later relocated back to Franklin, Virginia, to reside with her mother, Mrs. Evelyn, and sister, Janet.

Nesie loved her Boyz as she called them. They were the beat to her heart. She enjoyed decorating, especially for the holidays, and Christmas was her favorite.

She loved her jewelry and purses, particularly the bling. She loved hanging out with her partner, Paul, and making her famous pasta salad for family gatherings.

Nesie looked forward to Tuesdays when Cory and Lisa would ride her out to go shopping or bring a special treat.

Aunt Nesie was quiet and gentle and she loved her family. She will forever be missed.

Ruby was preceded in death by her father, George Lee; her grandparents, Jessie and Ruby Chambliss; and her nephew, Troy F. Murphy.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory to her mother, Evelyn Lee; her sons, Cory (Lisa) and Brandon Lee; her grandson, Kevin Rooks aka “Tootie;” granddaughter, Erica Lashley; two great-grandsons; her siblings; Georgia (Melvin) Murphy, Janet Gay, Jessie Keith (Patricia) Lee, and her twin, George Dewayne (Glenda) Lee, and Yvonne Challis; her aunt, Sandra Turner; and a great host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves her precious memory to her partner and dear friend, Paul Britt.

Aunt Nesie is gone, but will never be forgotten!

We love you and will miss you forever!
