Camp Community College Nursing and Allied Health Department has donated more than 1,000 personal protective equipment (PPE) items to Bon Secours Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin Fire and Rescue Department and Sentara Obici Hospital.
Associate Professor of Nursing/Skills and Simulation Lab Coordinator Lucy Little and EMS Program Director Paul Ruppert load up boxes of masks with face shields, surgical masks with ties, N95 masks, gowns, face shields and goggles to deliver to the facilities.
In addition, some gloves and surgical masks were donated to Shelia’s Place in Virginia Beach, where the nurses’ aide students were performing their clinical sessions prior to the pandemic.
