At far right, Southampton County Planning Commission Chairman Michael Drake presents Oliver W. Parker with a resolution honoring his 20 years (Feb. 23, 1998 – Feb. 23, 2018) of service to the county on the panel.

The document states, in part, “Whereas, Oliver W. Parker has unselfishly given of his time and talents to effectively promote the health, safety, prosperity and orderly development of Southampton County, including conservation of its natural and historic resources through development of numerous Comprehensive Plans and through development of, and subsequent revisions to, the Southampton County Zoning and Subdivision Ordinance … .”
