COURTLAND — Kelly Rae Jones Carthen, 42, passed away on Feb. 22, 2020, at VCU/MCV Medical Center in Richmond.

She was born in Franklin, a 1995 graduate of Franklin High School and earned an associate degree from Paul D. Camp Community College.

Kelly was predeceased by her mother, Lessie Battle Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her father, Wayne Duffy Jones; a son, Will Carthen III; a sister, Courtney J. Wood (Jamie); her boyfriend, Bill Savage; aunts and uncles, Debbie and Lynn March, Carol Jones, Carol and Grant Brock and Dewayne and Debbie Lambert; nieces and nephews, Jason Warrick and Kimberly, Vivian and Morgan Wood; and several cousins.

The gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home.
