Troop 17, Lions clean up at retention pond

FRANKLIN

Troop 17 teamed up with the Franklin Lions Club to pick up litter in and around the retention pond on Bogart Street near downtown on Feb. 15. Twelve bags of trash were collected, according to Scoutmaster Bryan Fenters.

Participating scouts: George Giles, Cora Falkins, Aaron Zurfluh, Luke Giles, Jeff Draughn, David Carter, Melvin Bowden, Nathanial Hand, Michael Overman, Scott Culpepper, Tre Roher, Will Barham, Thomas Culpepper, Christopher Cornwell, Deandre Falkins, Keith Falkins, Will Holland, Owen White, Tripp Bowden, Brayden Randall, Wade Draughn, Ethan Decker, David Cuthbertson, Tristan Cornwell, Zach Carter and mascot Scotter Fenters.

Franklin Lions who participated were Lottie Deshields, Clyde Parker, Dick Gilbert, club president Cheryl Wray, Jeff Wray and their son, Zack Wray.
