Southampton, Isle of Wight Academies closed

COURTLAND
In addition to all three Western Tidewater area public school divisions, Southampton Academy and Isle of Wight Academy are also closed today, Feb. 21, due to last night’s winter weather.
Daycare is also closed at IWA. Southampton Academy has also cancelled all VCC basketball tournament games scheduled for today. The games will be rescheduled as follows on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Semi-finals
- 10 a.m. – Varsity Girls No. 1 Richmond Christian versus No. 5 Southampton Academy
- 11:45 a.m. – Varsity Girls No. 2 Brunswick Academy versus No. 3 Blessed Sacrament
- 1:30 p.m. – Varsity Boys No. 1 Amelia Academy versus No. 4 Brunswick Academy
- 3:15 p.m. – Varsity Boys No. 2 Richmond Christian versus No. 3 Banner Christian
Finals
- 5 p.m. Varsity Girls Finals
- 6:45 p.m. Varsity Boys Finals
The gym will be open for teams and fans at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22. Awards will follow after the Championship games. JV Championship games are to be determined.
