WALDORF, Md. — Frances Blythe Finley, 67, passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2020, with family by her side.

Frances was a daughter of the late Clinton F. and Ruth C. Blythe of Franklin, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her eldest brother, James B. Blythe.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 36 years, J.J. “John” Finley III; her sons, Clinton M. Worrell (Jennifer) and Jesse J. Finley IV (Stephanie); her daughter, Darby E. Finley; her four grandchildren, Chloe Worrell, Gage Worrell, William Finley and Timothy Finley. She is also survived by her sister, Denise B. Griffith (Steve); brother, Wilson C. “Bo” Blythe (Tammy); brother-in-law, William K. Finley; and countless family members, friends, and loved ones, including her beloved pet “fur baby,” Furby.

The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation for the loving care provided by Dr. Neil Rosenshein and his incredible staff at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, as well as Hospice of Charles County, Maryland.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Glenn Riggs officiating. The burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Newsoms.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (or other cancer research organization), or to a hospice organization of your choice.
