In celebration of Heart Health Month, the Lambda Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. partnered with the Martin Luther King Jr. Center to host its annual Pink Goes Red for Heart Health event.

According to Renna Ebron, the chapter’s public relations chairwoman, approximately 30 seniors enthusiastically joined in for an hour of walking, education, information and inspiration to commit to living healthier lives through fitness activities, walking and managing those risk factors that may lead to heart disease.

To culminate the event, Diane Harris, program chair, praised the seniors and distributed gift bags for their agreement to focus on improving their heart health. Above: Members of the Lambda Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. gather around a display they made for visit.
