FRANKLIN

If you’re a fan — or even fanatic — of home and garden improvement programs, such as those on HGTV, then likely you’re aware of “Home Town” featuring Ben and Erin Napier. Now there’s a chance they could come to Franklin.

According to information provided by FSEDI Business Development Manager Lauren Sloan, the Napiers have a new series, “Home Town Rescue,” and are on a nationwide search for one community they could completely renovate. Towns and cities with a population of under 40,000 people qualify.

“The time to share your love for the city of Franklin is today,” stated Sloan. “The contest asks for submissions of photos, stories and anecdotes surrounding our charming city. Have a great reason or photo to contribute to the contest?

The application process is done online at www.hgtvhometowntakeover.com.

“Check out the Franklin Southampton Economic Development Facebook page,” she continued. “We have created a few Valentine’s Day-themed graphics we’d like for as many people as possible to share. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #HomeTownRescue in your social media posts.”

The show is accepting applications until Friday, Feb. 7.

“Let’s tell HGTV how much we love Franklin, and why Home Town Rescue should come to our city,” said Sloan.
