BOYKINS — George Rooks, a native of Southampton County, passed away on Jan. 20, 2020, while a patient at Greenbrier Regional Medical Center in Chesapeake.

The homegoing celebration will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Shiloh Baptist Church, Boykins, with the Rev. Calvin Rooks delivering the eulogy; the Rev. J.C. Banks Jr. will be host pastor. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
