FRANKLIN

Several railroad crossings in Franklin and surrounding jurisdictions will be closed this month while repair work takes place.

The crossings belong to CSX Railroad. Each crossing will be closed between two and five days starting on the date listed, but schedule changes due to weather and other unforeseen conditions are likely.

Detour signage will be in place, according to a press release from Southern Commercial Development, which works with CSX on traffic control and detour signage.

The crossings and their approximate closing dates are listed below:

Franklin

Jenkins Mill Road (Near Dukes Lane) — Jan. 21

Bobcat Lane (Off of Carrsville Highway) — Jan. 21

Green Oaks Drive (Off of Carrsville Highway) — Jan. 22

Carver Road/Camp Family Highway (Between Carrsville Highway and Whitley Lane) — Jan. 22

Lee Mill’s Road (Off of Carrsville Highway) — Jan. 22

Carrsville

Old Carrsville Road (Between Old Myrtle Road and Eleys Lane) — Jan. 21

Harvest Drive (Between Old Carrsville Road and Eleys Lane) — Jan. 21

Suffolk

Kenyon Road (near Amadas Industries and the YMCA Camp Arrowhead) — Jan. 13

Buckhorn Drive (Near Deer Path Road) — Jan. 16
