WINDSOR — Nighttime drivers on Knoxville Road, few as they may be on the rural, two-lane road in southern Isle of Wight County, will likely find Irvin Jenkins’ home difficult to miss this holiday season.

The Windsor area resident typically begins decorating for Christmas in October and then turns them on for the first time on Thanksgiving. This year, he used more than 25,000 lights.

“It gets a little bigger each year,” his wife, Angela, said.

n addition to lights, the Jenkins’ yard includes numerous inflatable Christmas yard decorations, a Nativity scene and a projection of Santa Claus waving to passersby from the window over the garage.
