This Thursday, Dec. 5, is the Elf parade in downtown Franklin, and all kids and adults participating are reminded to be at the Downtown Franklin Association/Train Depot parking lot on Main Street by 5:30 to 5:45 p.m. to walk to Barrett’s Landing to meet with Santa.
In addition, the Franklin Christmas Parade is on Friday, Dec. 6, and will begin at 7 p.m. There will be no parking on Main Street after 5:30 p.m., with towing enforced to ensure the safety of all participants and spectators.
Line-up for the parade begins at 5:30 p.m. on Campbell Avenue behind the Franklin National Guard Armory, where all participants will be confirmed, issued a number of entry and guided to their respective starting positions.
The parade is sponsored by local merchants, Downtown Franklin Association and the Franklin Parade Committee.
