Vernice S. Blow

BOYKINS — General Mother Vernice S. Blow went to be with the Lord on Nov. 3, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Bradley and Lizzie Suiter born on Jan. 19, 1932, in Boykins, Virginia.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Bishop Eddie Lee Blow on April 25, 1955.
Mother Blow was a member of Mount Calvary Holiness Church in Emporia, Virginia, where she served as the church mother for 36 years. She also served as the church organist, vice president of the choir, a member of the Missionary Department and General Mother of The Apostolic Faith Church of God and Christ.
Mother Blow is survived by two children, Eddie L. Blowe (Juanita) of Capron, Virginia, and Rosa L. Wooten (Bobby) of Yale, Virginia; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; three goddaughters; one godson; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her spiritual family.
The service of transition will be on Saturday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. in Apostolic Faith Church of God, 680 Oak St., Franklin, Virginia, with Elder Bobby Lewis Wooten delivering the eulogy; Overseer Ronnie Warren is the host pastor. Mother Blow’s remains will be placed in the church for viewing by 9 a.m.
The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery.
The service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
