Members of the Franklin/Southampton Retired Teachers’ Association recently received a “With Our Youth” community service award from the National Retired Teachers’ Association and AARP’s Educator Project.

The Franklin/Southampton RTA received this award for the group’s annual donation of classroom supplies to Southampton County Public Schools and Franklin City Public Schools.

Franklin/Southampton RTA member Daphne Miller said the supplies will be donated in January, since there are already multiple vendors who donate supplies in September at the beginning of the school year.
