A Franklin woman is charged with the murder of her brother.

According to information provided by Sgt. Scott Halverson, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department, on Monday at 10:15 p.m., the city’s communications center received several calls of a disturbance at 505 Norfleet St. On arrival, units found Zachary Gray, 27, of Franklin, suffering from a stab wound.

The officers’ investigation, according to Halverson, revealed Zachary Gray had been involved in an argument with his sister, Sarah Gray, 24. During the course of the altercation, she allegedly stabbed him.

Zachary Gray died as a result of the stab wound, and she has been charged with second-degree murder. Sarah Gray is held without bond at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
