FRANKLIN — Giuseppe “Joe” Misseri, 58, passed away on Oct. 21, 2019, in his home surrounded by his family after a long illness.

Joe was born on Aug. 16, 1961, in Palermo, Italy, and moved to the United States in May of 1978.

He was the owner of Joe’s Pizza & Pasta Palace for over 40 years, and was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

Throughout Joe’s 40 years in the area he was very community-spirited, giving, generous soul that loved everyone.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mirna Babik Misseri; his daughter, Joelle L. Misseri; his son, Jean Phillip “JP” Misseri; his parents, Filippo and Carmela Misseri; two sisters, Enza Cascino (Pino) and F. Letizia Misseri-Hemphill (Joseph); two brothers, Nunzio Misseri (Sandra) and Gaspare Misseri (Marian); a godson, Alex Boyd; a special niece, Julie Carmen Cascino Murphy; and a host of other nieces and nephews.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, Oct. 24, in St. Jude Catholic Church. The burial will follow in the new annex of Poplar Spring Cemetery off of Homestead Road.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Catholic Church.
