FRANKLIN

Dr. Tamara Sterling, superintendent of the Franklin City Public School System, has announced that this year’s Thanksgiving dinner will take place on Saturday, Nov. 16, in S.P. Morton Elementary School. Each person who attends will be served a full holiday meal before the event itself.

In a letter to potential donors, Sterling wrote that “Franklin City Public Schools is committed to delivering excellence to all students as well as educating our students on giving back as part of their Franklin City community … last year with your help, we served over 400 community members; thank you. We are requesting support from our community partners in the form of donations, monetary or in-kind, to exceed that number this year.”

The goal is to have everything needed and in position by Friday, Nov. 15.
