Elsie L. Beale

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. —
, 93, died on Sept. 30, 2019.
Elsie was a former resident of Franklin, Virginia. Elsie and her husband, Garland Beale, owned and operated a Shell Service station in Franklin and later the Beale Burger House near Ivor.
Elsie reluctantly moved to Indianapolis in 1991 when she lost most of her vision and independence, but she routinely reminded her family “everything was better in Virginia”.
Elsie’s son, Robert Keith Long, was killed in a major airline crash in 1974. Her son; her husband, Garland, and all of her siblings preceded her in death.
Elsie is survived by her children, Linda (Gene) Schulstad of Indianapolis, Indiana; Johnny Marvin (Judy) Long of Washington, Indiana; Barry (Heather) Beale of Buckner, Kentucky; stepson, David (Mary) Beale of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Interment will be at Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, Virginia.
