Franklin youth open season of football, cheer

FRANKLIN
The Franklin Youth Football & Cheer football program opened its 2019 season with games on Sept. 25 at the Armory Drive Park Football Stadium. For the season opener, the stands on both sides of field were packed with spectators.

The teams in the league are: The Holland Razorbacks; the Windsor Knights; the Boykins Bulldogs; and the Franklin Mustangs.
A new team, the Sussex Green Machine, has been added to the list of teams that participate in the youth league. The ages of youth to participate are as follows: 6-8 flag football; 9-11, juniors; and 12-13 seniors. Each football team further has a cheering program.
The games will be played on Wednesdays of each week starting at 6 p.m. at the Armory Drive Recreational Park.
On Oct. 16, the games will be played at Wakefield Municipal Park, and then at Windsor High School on Oct. 23.
