FRANKLIN

Franklin’s new chief of police, Steve Patterson, recently visited with the James L Camp Jr. Early Morning Group.

Many members begin their workout each day at 5 o’clock when the YMCA opens. Dan Lufkin, president of Camp Community College, invited Patterson to see the Y and meet the early birds who were celebrating the coming of fall.

David Martin, fitness coach, gave the chief a tour of the facilities. Catarina Johnson, executive director of the Y, brought in some healthy treats to go along with the other goodies members brought in for the party.

The chief introduced himself and asked for help in recruiting new officers for Franklin’s police force.
