No injuries from Wednesday gunfire

FRANKLIN

On Wednesday at 9:20 p.m., Franklin Dispatch received a call of shots fired in the 700 block of Cameron Street. According to police spokesman Sgt. Scott Halverson, when officers arrived on scene they found several vehicles damaged and a residence that had been struck. The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects at this time. No one was injured.

The Tidewater News learned the incident took place at the same time that games played by the Franklin Youth Football and Cheer taking place at the Armory Field. Halverson later informed the paper that when the shots were heard there, the game was immediately cancelled by Sammara Bailey-Green, city parks and recreation program specialist.
