African-Americans celebrate heritage, culture

The Franklin Department of Parks & Recreation sponsored its annual Franklin African-American Festival on Saturday at Barrett’s Landing Park in downtown Franklin. Linda Russell served as mistress of ceremony. In all it was a very successful and entertaining day complete with good weather, food vendors, merchandise vendors, good fellowship and entertainment that was off the scale.
